Norcan Lake is a pristine body of
water. Those who have fished the lake for many years
advise the fishery is above average and continues to
improve. The bass fishing is excellent and good sized
walleye and northern pike are caught regularly. The lake
is fed by the Madawaska River to the north, providing a
steady influx of bait and sport fish. Some groups of
experienced fishermen during the 2008 season reported each catching and releasing more than 35 fish in a day. The first groups out as the season opened in 2009 said the fishing was outstanding. Enjoy the
fishing, keep enough for tasty fish dinners, take home
your limit and be sure to return the rest
unharmed back into the lake for the next time you throw a line in. |
