Reservations are confirmed
only upon receipt of your non-refundable deposit of
$300.00 (Lodge deposit is $500). Until such time as your
deposit is received we will pencil your name in the registry. If your
deposit is not received within 10 days of booking, the space will
become available to others. Payment can be made through cash, personal check or electronic funding through Paypal. Please see the note below concerning exchange rates. While we accept payments via PayPal as a courtesy to our customers (we prefer being paid by check or cash) PayPal charges us a fee of 3.5% for the use of their services. Anyone wishing to pay either their deposit or the balance of their account via PayPal will be required to add an additional 3.5% to the amount of the payment. The Paypal web site is
www.paypal.com. Our PayPal account number is our email address, thehills@canontolodge.com. PLEASE NOTE: that effective July 1, 2010 the new HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) replaces the previously charged GST (Goods and Services Tax) and PST (Personal Sales Tax). The new HST rate is 13% and will be added on to the rental of any and all lodgings, services, boats, motors and equipment.

Pets are generally not allowed; however, under special circumstances and only when arranged in advance, exceptions may be made solely as a courtesy and as an accommodation to our guests. We will accept only pets that are fully housetrained and the owners must pick up after them and dispose of the waste properly. Pets are not allowed to run free within Canonto Lodge property. The individual set of circumstances surrounding the pet will be discussed and agreed upon with management only in advance. If a pet becomes disruptive or destructive, or is allowed to bark or make noises that would disturb other guests, or if the rules are broken, the pet will be required to be immediately removed from the Canonto Lodge property by the pet owner. A charge of $20 per pet per night will apply (minimum of $50 and maximum charge of $70 per pet per visit) plus applicable taxes. The pet owner acknowledges he/she is completely responsible for any costs or expenses incurred to fix, restore, clean and/or repair obvious damages made by their pet(s) to any and all property, furniture, fixtures and or equipment, whether Canonto Lodge's or otherwise.

There is NO SMOKING in any of the buildings. If you do choose to smoke, please do so out of doors, or in the screened porch areas, or on the decks and pick up your cigarette butts please.

It is our desire to make your stay as
private and as enjoyable as is possible. If you need something or have any questions or concerns, please enquire at the office (located at the Lake House), otherwise you will be left to enjoy yourself in peace and quiet.

Notice for Exchange Rates: We exchange US cash and US checks at exactly the same rate as our bank gives us. We do not make any money whatsoever on the exchange. The US/Canadian currency exchange rate is established several times a week with our bank in Renfrew, Ontario. All Canadian banks charge a fee for converting your US cash and checks into Canadian funds. That fee is included in the conversion rate. If you have concerns about the rate provided, please pay in Canadian cash. You can exchange your US funds for Canadian funds at one of the many banks in the area.
- Next Year's Rental: It is our policy whenever possible to offer this year's renters the first opportunity to rent the same unit for next year. If you wish to rent this unit for next year at the same time, we strongly suggest you book in during your stay with us, as we have a waiting list. If you do not book in during the week(s) you are renting with us, the unit will become available for others.
